WHO SHOULD ATTEND
We seek those that have completed a rigorous (pre-university) high school education.  Those that have completed a pre-university high school education (VWO, IB, A-levels, 10+2, challenging high school - all with sciences) will receive up to 20 credits coming in to the program.

INTRODUCTION
St. Martinus University offers an accelerated Pre-Medical program that leads to an Associates Degree or a Bachelor of Science degree.

The PM program will be revised this year. There will be three semesters of 27/28 credits each. Total 83 credits in one calendar year (1.5 academic year). Those that complete the PM only and do not continue, will earn an Associates Degree in Premedical Sciences.

Those that complete the PM program and achieve a 2.80 GPA and wish to proceed are automatically admitted to the MD program. They will then participate in the BSC/MD program. Due to the intensive nature of the program it is expected/allowed that students take a semester off between the two programs.

THE SAVINGS:
A BSc and MD in the USA will take 4+4 years, and will cost $250,000 in tuition; with a substantial risk of not getting in to the MD program.
At St. Martinus University, the 5 year program has a total cost of $110,000 in tuition. With guaranteed admission to the MD program for qualified students. In the time savings of 3 years the student can earn back the tuition outlay in salaries.  Difference between studying in the US and Curacao: $ 250,000.

WE STRESS QUALITY:
- we have MD graduates that are licensed in the USA
- we have 70% of MD graduates in Residency programs in the US
- 80% (4 out of 5) pass the USMLE - a rate on par with (long) established medical schools.
