Welcome message from the Dean of Clinical SciencesHarold Schiff

Dear Medical School Candidate,

Once you have completed your basic sciences you will move into the clinical sciences. Here the exciting experience of being a real doctor and working with patients really starts. It, in fact starts, in you first year of basic sciences with exposure to Clinical Grand Rounds and continues throughout, so that, by the time you have completed your first 2 years of medical school, the basic sciences, you will already know and have had practical clinical experience in how to talk to patients, examine them and discuss their clinical problems with a physician.

This is very exciting and at St. Martinus we pride ourselves in producing students who are clinically skilled and are able to deal with patients in a first and third world setting. After passing the USMLE I you will begin 2 years of patient exposure, clinical hospital rotations where you will learn to integrate all that you learned in the basic sciences and apply them to real life and clinical patients.

At St. Martinus we offer first rate ACGME approved hospital rotations for our students and for those planning on a career in the third world, we have rotations in other countries besides the USA, where these skills are taught with expertise. As a medical student at St. Martinus you will receive, not only the best in basic sciences, but also the very best in the clinical sciences.

Sincerely,

Harold Schiff, M.D.
Dean of Clinical Sciences

Welcome message  from the Associate Dean of Premedical SciencesRoeland Thomas

Dear Medical School Candidate,

Everyone has a dream in life. You have chosen to become a medical doctor and we are here to help you to achieve that dream.

Anyone who chooses a career in medicine should know that it means committing yourself to a life-long learning process. In today's world of rapidly growing knowledge in life sciences it is easy to get lost and yet, we are hungry to discover more about life and disease. Technologies researching the normal function of the human body, the development of diseases at a molecular level and innovations of new treatment plans are all challenges of current medical practice. Our goal is to guide you on your journey and help you through this learning process.

Being a medical doctor is a profession in which you are responsible for individual's well-being, therefore our faculty is dedicated not only to delivering academic excellence, but also making you aware of the ethical responsibilities you will face as a future physician.

The years spent in medical school are very important in developing a solid foundation and with dedication, hard work and perseverance we are sure you can reach your goals.

Sincerely,

Roeland Thomas M.Sc.

On behalf of the faculty and administration of St. Martinus Faculty of Medicine I would like to thank you for the interest you have shown in our excellent program.

St. Martinus has been in existence since 2003 and we are on target with our plan to provide the finest education possible for each student. Our student loan program is one of the finest for an off shore medical school.

We have purposely limited admissions to keep our teacher student ratio low enough to give individualized attention so that our passing rate on the U.SM.L.E. would remain among the highest, which we are proud to enjoy today.

Our admissions committee will work swiftly to process your application. Our Student Admissions Co-coordinator, Ms. Bernadette Davenport will be available at any time for you to contact and monitor your application and answer any questions.

Thank you and Welcome!
