"Why should you get less than what you deserve? On a cost-benefit
analysis, I wouldn't put my money in something that doesn't give good
returns. Getting a sound medical education doesn't have to cost a fortune!
Getting the most out of the education is a necessity. I am currently
in my clinical rotations, and I can now look back and say I've gotten
something great in return for my investment. My education at SMU was
well worth it. The teachers are great and concerned individuals. During
my first semester at SMU a teacher challenged me and changed my life
forever. She specifically told me to "give it a 100%." That
phrase will stay in my head for years to come, and regardless of where
I am I will continue to seek nothing less than this 100%. At some point
in our lives, we all need some challenge, and attending SMU might just
be the right place to push yourself and realize that even the sky is
not a limit. Get a glimpse of what I've tasted, and you will aspire
to become not just a doctor, but a world-class doctor!" Abidemi Bobby Akande Chicago, U.S.A. |

"Until today I have not regretted attending St. Martinus University. The personal basis between students and professors creates a unique place to study. Whenever you need help or you have questions the teachers and also your fellow students assist you to their fullest abilities. The fact that the students come from all over the world, gives you great opportunities for cultural exchange. But also Curacao itself is a wonderful change to what I have experienced so far. The island offers lots of possibilities to enjoy your life whenever you have some spare time. " Sonja Nagel |

"I have been a student here at St. Martinus University for 1.5 years and successfully completed the Pre-med program and am currently in MD 2. St. Martinus has been a perfect choice for me to reach my goal of becoming a doctor and having a practice in North America. The classes are small, between 15-25 students and the professors are great. It gives me a chance to interact with my professors and peers on a one to one basis. The professors are qualified, speak excellent English and the majority of them have been educated in North America. The lab facilities are amazing and we get more than ample chance to work on the cadavers both individually and in groups! The education system is excellent and this is evident by the USMLE score of our graduating students. I can honestly say that St. Martinus is a great place for me, and I would recommend that you check us out and inquire for more information!" Nisha Khanna |

"I joined St. Martinus University in January 2007, enrolling in the Basic Sciences Program as an MD1 student. My experience at St. Martinus has been extremely satisfying in fulfilling my dream to become a doctor. An intense cirriculum is set by faculty, which provides students with thorough preparation for the USMLE. The professors are highly qualified in their respective areas of teaching. Due to small faculty-student ratio, it made it possible for me to interface with the professors. I strongly encourage students to choose St. Martinus University for embarking upon a career in medicine!" Prachi Aggarwal |

"I never thought of myself as studious. I didn't know I had what it took to be a doctor. Then I came here. The teachers here are all at the head of their fields, they love to teach and are truly caring for the students. Now I am in my third semester here. I have high honors, and am president of the SGA. I choose this school, and can honestly say today: I wouldn't be the person I am today if I went somewhere else." Todd Wildey |

"Education is the key to making a difference in the world and to be educated is a means to help those around you. It was very important to me to find a school that would meet my idealistic standards for an educational institution. St. Martinus University seemed to be the right choice as it provided an intimate environment for me to learn. The teachers are caring and also are always willing to help the students when it is needed. With such small class sizes it provides a chance for students to participate in class and also have questions answered. As well, it was important for me to come to an island where I would feel safe and would enjoy myself. Curacao has offered the ideal environment to learn as the culture is beautiful, the people are kind and the island has many interesting sights to see." Annie Ngo |
